Difference between Bsc sericulture and Bsc Horiticulture

 Bsc sericulture is a professional course under agricultural science and technology course which is a 3 year undergraduate stream dealing in the study of silk farming, rearing of silkworms to produce raw silk and to manufacture silk clothes and silk products. We see silk as a traditional attire in Indian woman and silk sarees are customary in many Indian weddings too. Thus in contrary to this the demand for silk is high and sericulture is thus a forthcoming successful industry having good income. Whereas BSc Horticulture is also a 3 year undergraduate course which is a main stream in agricultural science and technology. Many of the farming background families prefer their kids to choose this stream as it will be a major help to them on fields. Bsc horticulture is a science that studies the breeding of fruits, Vegetables, orchids, cereals, and all other plants co existing as edible in nature. The career prospects are good for students as they can work in plentiful streams as alternatives.Both BScsericulture and BSc Horticulture are courses which don't have any national level entrance exams for admission. As admissions happen on merit basis depending upon the 12th board results.
