The difference between Bsc agriculture and bsc sericulture

Bsc agriculture is a 4 year undergraduate course that deals with the study of research and technology in agricultural sciences as we all know that agriculture and farming is the bare necessity as we all rely on farmers for food and crops. Thus this course deals with plant breeding, genetics, agricultural microbiology, plant pathology and soil sciences. Bsc in agriculture objective is to provide training to students so that they can implement modern techniques in the agricultural techniques and technologies for better development of the farming industry.Whereas BSc sericulture is a 3 years under graduate course which studies the rearing of silk worms to produce raw silk in order to make finished products of silk such as saree and much more. Sericulture is a cottage industry and offers a wide range of employment opportunities in various sectors.The career opportunities for both the courses are plenty and range across the areas as they are more career oriented. Bsc agriculture the admission is purely based on entrance exams such as KCET, COMED K and JEE Mains. Bsc sericulture admission can happen either through merit basis or through entrance exams . After completion students can either do their further education or work in their own fields and farms and apply the techniques on their fields.
